Welcome to the lovely Ornö, an island in Stockholm's southern archipelago. Here you get far out into the sea belt, where there are plenty of seabirds, lovely nature and if you're lucky you can see sea eagles and a seal or two. The car ferry from Dalarö takes you to the house on Ornö. If you don't have a car, you can easily get to the island via bus connection. Book a ferry ticket in advance at Dalarö Sjötrafik. Here in Lättinge, you live in the countryside with absolute proximity to the sea, surrounded by a mixture of archipelago settlements and permanent residences. The house is charming and renovated, a shower and WC house is built on the plot, but a WC is also in the main house. Cozy balconies with outdoor furniture and grill are available for lovely barbecue evenings. The house has no regular oven but an Airfryer, which works just as well. There are also hotplates and a microwave for the food you want to cook. From the entrance door you enter the veranda with two armchairs and then further into the kitchen and dining area. Inside the kitchen is the bedroom with a double bed and WC, separated by drapery as a door. You will find the guest cabin only 10 meters away with the second double bed and two armchairs to relax in. The bathroom, which is fully equipped with WC, wash basin, shower, washing machine and dryer, can be found in the small shower and WC house about 5 meters beyond the guesthouse. About 300 permanent residents live on Ornö and the rest are summer guests. Within walking distance you can reach a child-friendly beach, bathing cliffs and here there are cycling and hiking trails. Ornö also has a pub, cafes, shops and bread stand down by Kyrkviken. With the car ferry you reach Dalarö, which has a lot to offer. If you want to take a bus into Stockholm, you can easily do so from the bus stop at the steamboat pier below the house. Or why not take a day trip by an archipelago boat, visit some of the other islands and have a lovely day at sea, or take the boat into Stockholm for more adventures.
