The area in the north of Bergslagen and Dalarna has a lot to offer for those who want to make day trips, hike or perhaps go for a ride on their mountain bike. The cottage is on a large plot where you can easily park the car by the driveway. The house has two floors and a balcony at the front where you have a sunny position most of the day. On the lower level you will find the kitchen which is well equipped and also has an old iron stove which you can fire on cold days as well as a spacious living room with a sofa bed which at night is converted into a comfortable bed for two people and a toilet. Upstairs there is the family bathroom and two separate bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other has a bed which, when folded out, provides two good sleeping places. The garden consists of large grassy areas with plenty of space for play and activities and there is another cozy patio where you can sit and enjoy the evening's dinner prepared on the grill. In the immediate area you have Södra Hörken, a lake located approx. 500 m from the cabin where there is the possibility of fishing, remember that you need to buy a fishing license, there is also a mini golf course here. If you want to go a little further afield, there is a family-friendly beach in Norra Hörken Kyrkviken, which has a shallow sandy beach. Take the opportunity to pay a visit to Engelska Parken when you are in Grängesberg and stock up, or perhaps you might be tempted by Gränges Hyr-kart, which offers go-kart challenges for the whole family. If you are a golfer, Hagges Golf Club is about 30 minutes away by car, near Ludvika. During the winter season, you can cross-country ski directly from the cabin and the area around Silverhöjden, where there are several trails to choose from. If you want to go downhill with slalom skis, you have about an hour to Romme Alpin, which offers nice slopes and good service all around, which includes renting skis and boots, restaurants and more. There is also a slightly closer ski slope called Fjällberget.
