3 Bedroom House in Gallo, Bräcke Municipality
This cozy holiday home is located on a farm on Lake Revsundssjön with a beautiful lake view on a hill.
It has a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom downstairs with 2 beds that can be used as a double bed or as single beds, two bedrooms each with a single bed upstairs, living room with TV (Swedish channels) and bathroom with shower and toilet as well as washing machine. There is an attached terrace outside.
The animal life up here is rich and according to the Swedish fishing guide, the lake is the richest in fish in all of Sweden. To convince you of this, a rowing boat is available to help you go fishing. You can reach the rowing boat after a short walk (approx. 500m) through the forest.
There are also two beautiful hiking trails, the Forsa and the Pilgrimsleden, which you can hike and discover beautiful bathing spots. The nearest bathing spot with a sandy beach is just 300m away down by the lake.
The area also offers the opportunity to visit local museums or discover many interesting local food producers. Östersund is about 45 kilometers from here and offers attractions such as the "Storsjöodjuret", the Swedish version of the Loch Ness Monster. It is difficult to get the animal to show itself, but at the Jamtli Museum, you can at least admire an embryo in a glass.
In winter, there are all kinds of winter activities in the area such as ice fishing, skiing both alpine (Mickelbacken in Gällö) and cross-country skiing trails that start right on the doorstep. Kick sledding, ice skating, snowmobile rental and the opportunity to go on a dog sled and horse sleigh ride. Icelandic horses can be ridden 30 km away. In 2015, the doors to the ski tunnel in Gällö opened, where, like the ski tunnel in Sunné in Värmland, the goal is to be able to ski on real snow all year round.
In summer, fishing and swimming in one of the countless lakes is pure pleasure. You can visit bee farms. An increasingly strong crowd puller is the Pilgrimsleden hiking trail, also known as St. Olafsleden or the Forsaleden with natural waterfalls and beautiful bathing spots along the way. Other destinations are the Brattbytorpet in Revsund (old machines that are restored and presented, coffee), Revsunds Lodge with café and concerts, moose safari, the Ristafallet (the filming of Ronja the Robber's Daughter was shot at this waterfall) and near Åre the "Tännforsen" waterfall, Thai temple in Ragunda.
And when you come back in the evening, you can easily and conveniently book (300 SEK/use) the detached combined sauna and barbecue hut for yourself on site, located a few hundred meters away and with a view of the Revsundssjön (also used by guests of other holiday homes)
3 bedrooms (1st with double bed (2 single beds), 2nd with single bed, 3rd with single bed)
