About this property
Welcome to Falken Mountain Lodge, a spacious 90 m² Scandinavian mountain home in Åre Björnen, one of Åre’s most attractive areas for skiing, mountain biking and outdoor life.
With three bedrooms, six beds, a private sauna, fireplace and a south-facing terrace with mountain views, the lodge is designed for guests who want easy access to the mountains without giving up the comfort and atmosphere of a real home.
Falken Mountain Lodge is our own mountain home, and we want it to feel that way. Rather than a minimal rental apartment, you will find a warm and personal Scandinavian interior – a place where it is just as enjoyable to spend a quiet evening by the fire as it is to head out for a full day on the mountain.
THE LODGE
The 90 m² lodge comfortably accommodates up to six guests.
The heart of the home is the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Large windows bring in plenty of natural light and provide views towards the surrounding mountains. The living area has comfortable seating and a wood-burning fireplace, perfect after a day of skiing.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home, while the dining area comfortably seats the whole group.
There are three separate bedrooms:
• Two bedrooms with 160 cm double beds
• One bedroom with a bunk bed for two guests
The main bathroom includes a private sauna, shower, washing machine and dryer. There is also a separate guest WC.
Outside the entrance, you have convenient ski storage, making it easy to store your equipment between days on the mountain.
SKIING & ÅRE BJÖRNEN
One of the main advantages of staying at Falken is the location.
The lodge offers convenient ski-in/ski-out access to the Åre ski area. From Falken, you can ski towards Björnen centre and its lifts, ski school, equipment rental and restaurants.
Björnen is connected to Sadeln and the rest of Åre’s extensive lift system, allowing you to start your ski day on the quieter eastern side of the mountain and continue all the way towards central Åre.
Björnen is particularly popular with families thanks to its wide slopes and excellent beginner areas, while experienced skiers have easy access to the rest of Åreskutan.
At the end of the day, ski back towards Falken, leave your equipment outside, warm up in the sauna and enjoy an evening by the fireplace.
A HOME FOR EVENINGS TOO
For us, an important part of a mountain holiday is having somewhere you genuinely enjoy coming home to.
The south-facing terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy the sun and mountain surroundings, while indoors the fireplace and sauna create a relaxed atmosphere during colder evenings.
Cook dinner together, light the fire and settle in for the evening. And when the mountain weather suggests staying indoors for a few hours, Falken is a home where that feels like part of the holiday rather than time lost.
ÅRE VILLAGE
While Falken offers a peaceful mountain setting, Åre village is only a short drive away.
Åre is one of Scandinavia’s best-known mountain destinations, with an excellent selection of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops alongside its skiing and outdoor activities.
This gives you the best of both worlds: stay surrounded by nature in Björnen while having Åre’s restaurants and nightlife within easy reach.
SUMMER & AUTUMN
Falken Mountain Lodge is not only a winter destination.
During the snow-free months, Björnen becomes a fantastic base for mountain biking, hiking, trail running and exploring the mountains around Åre.
Åre is particularly well known for mountain biking, and Björnen offers extensive trails and activities directly in the area.
After a day outside, return to Falken for a sauna, dinner on the terrace and a quiet evening overlooking the mountains.
