The house is located on a road that during the holidays can be quite busy, but it is separated by a protective hedge and gates. To the Baltic Sea and the coast you have only a short drive, the closest is Mälarhusen's beach bath. Hagestad is located just west of Sandhammaren and borders the Sandhammaren nature reserve. Here the visitor is met by open dune areas, heather and grass heaths and sparse forests with low, gnarled oaks. Here is also Dag Hammarskjölds Backåkra, well worth a visit.
