The cottage is located in a scenic location by the lake Ånimmen and has cozy patios around the house. It is a rural idyll where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun and dinner on the veranda in the evening sun. If you want to enjoy the lake view over a glass of wine, there is a private coffee place that belongs to the cabim, where, in addition to the view of Ånimmen, you get a fantastic view of the mountain Sörknatten on the other side of the lake. The cottage is secluded on the owner's plot in a peaceful environment close to swimming and fishing in Ånimmen. It is the lakes in the area and the beautiful nature with high mountains and a mixture of meadows and mixed forest that make the place a real gem for guests who want to enjoy nature and freedom. In addition to a wide range of hiking trails, the lakes provide opportunities for swimming, fishing and experiencing nature from the water. There are a number of places where you can rent canoes. There is a launch ramp 3 km from the accommodation, if you have your own boat on holiday. Dogs are welcome. At the end of the forest, there is a dog paddock with a coffee place. The cottage is from the 19th century and has a genuine atmosphere with timber walls, high ceilings and beams. It is updated in 2023 to offer comfortable, simple and cozy accommodation for two guests. The accommodation's 55 m2 consists of a large room with a sitting area by a fireplace and a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and an old wood stove. There is a breakfast room, a bathroom with a washing machine and a cozy sleeping loft with a skylight. The stairs up to the sleeping loft mean that the accommodation is not accessible. The sofa in the large room is a day bed that can be pulled out to a double bed and is an alternative to the 160 cm double bed upstairs. The croft invites you to pleasant holidays and in the area there are plenty of fantastic nature experiences and popular excursion destinations. Tips on excursion destinations: The aqueduct and "slusstrappan" in Håverud are a spectacular setting and a destination that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Not Quite in Fengersfors, an old paper mill where artists, craftsmen and designers have their studios, opens up to visitors during the summer. At Not Quite you can also enjoy freshly baked goods from the stone oven bakery and lunch or coffee in the garden. Baldersnäs Herrgård by Laxsjön offers a fantastic environment and a restaurant that serves local specialties based on seasonal ingredients. Boat tours on Lake Vänern depart from Åmål, Dalsland's only city. The city is known from the movie "Fucking Åmål" far beyond Sweden's borders, based on a romantic drama film that premiered in 1998. Åmål has a central guest port, many small shops and an old city center.
