The lakes are connected there by a lock and are part of the Dalsland Canal. In Bengtsfors you can visit the largest open-air museum in western Sweden, namely Gammelgården. Directly next door is Halmens Hus, the former center and today's museum for straw weaving. Sweden's countryside offers a variety of options for spending your holiday.
