Dream location on Kalvsund with the sea as the nearest neighbor! Welcome to Kalvsund, a fantastic and car-free island in the middle of Gothenburg's northern archipelago. To get here, you take the ferry from Lilla Varholmen via Björkö, a journey that is smooth and available all year round. Here you will find a charming small apartment on the ground floor on the same plot as the owner's residence, just a stone's throw from the sea. The apartment consists of a living room with kitchenette, dining area and a bedroom with two single beds (90cm) and a toilet with shower. If you need an extra bed, there is also a fold-up bed available. Kalvsund offers incredible swimming opportunities with jetties and inviting rocks around the entire island. The municipal swimming area, which is located approx. 250m from the accommodation, has both a jumping tower and a bathing jetty. On the island there is a lot to choose from, both small sandy beaches and piers with both shallow and deeper water, as well as lovely rocks to sunbathe on. On nearby Björkö you will find a grocery store, restaurants and a nice mini golf course. Björkö is also an excellent starting point for visiting other nearby islands such as Hönö, Fotö and experiencing its beautiful nature, restaurants and fishing boats. At Kalvsund, you can visit Hemma-Hos-Krogen Ute på Udden, which serves seafood, three-course dinners and picnic baskets in a cozy home environment. They also offer seaweed safaris for the adventurous. The guest harbor on the island has a cafe and kiosk which are open during the summer months. A bicycle is available to borrow to explore the area, and a short ferry ride of about 10 minutes takes you over to Öckerö, where you can stroll around among more restaurants and small shops.
