Climb the 197 steps of the lighthouse and you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the southern tip of Öland and the sea. Because Öland is so flat, it is also considered the perfect island for cycling. The island is so narrow that you can cycle to the sea from anywhere on the island! The limestone plain, Stora Alvaret, offers you unique nature that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you want to experience more, simply cross the six-kilometre bridge to Kalmar or take the bicycle and passenger ferry, Dessi.
