Have you always wanted to explore the northern parts of Sweden? Then we have the perfect cottage for you. With its fantastic lake close by, you have here the perfect place for your holiday. Sauna and take a dip or maybe take a trip on the lake with the inflatable boat that is included in the rent. The cottage consists of two parts, a main part with 3 bedrooms, kitchen and living room and bathroom. Then there is also a guest house with 2 beds in. So there is plenty of space for 6 people to sleep and socialize. You also have a cozy sauna and barbecue area outside to make the most of the nice location. If you want to go out, there is a lot to do in the area. Just over an hour's drive away you have Kalix, which with its archipelago attracts many visitors. In Kalix, the long national river, with its source in the Kebenkajs massif, empties into the sea and meets the sea. In that meeting between sweet and salty, the world's largest brackish water archipelago is created, the prerequisite for the world's unique rum. Överkalix is a little over 20km and away there is a lot to experience. You can, for example, pass the Arctic Circle and get a Arctic Circle certificate. The Arctic Circle runs through northern Överkalix. Here the sun does not go down in the summer and barely up for a while during the winter, which gives midnight sun and midwinter darkness. When you travel to Jockfall you pass the Arctic Circle. Once in Jockfall, you visit Jockfall's fishing and leisure facility and ask for a Polar Circle Certificate, a beautiful proof that you have passed the Arctic Circle. You can visit a waterfall, Överkalix has three waterfalls, Linafallet with a height of 16 meters, the free-roaring Jockfallet and the enchantingly beautiful Brudslöjan. With River Rafter Sauna Raft, you can book a trip on the Kalixälven with one of the sauna rafts where you can eat, sauna, swim and enjoy the view and nice company. The feeling of gliding along the water is both calm and energizing at the same time. In Överkalix there is also a Moose park where you can see and learn more about moose. Enjoy your cozy cottage and the lake or go on an adventure, but here you have the perfect starting point no matter what attracts you on holiday!
