If you want to visit Sweden's southernmost lake Vänern, you can get there quickly by car. In Mellerud, 12 kilometers away you will find shops, restaurants, bank and tourist office. With the beautiful and varied nature, there are many opportunities for a relaxed or an active holiday in the fresh air, why not both? You can also experience art, culture and several museums. In Dalsland there are deep, cold lakes, small ponds and shallower, nutrient-rich lakes. And so Lake Vänern is understood for those who want to fish. Norra Båsane is a popular nature reserve, the bridge in Håverud, built in 1886, it is also a popular destination.
