Welcome to the island of Yxlan, which is a very popular holiday destination in Stockholm's beautiful archipelago. In this house you can really enjoy the summer and the proximity to lovely sea baths. You can get here by car ferry from Furusund, which only takes a few minutes. Here you live approx. 100 m from the sea, so feel free to start the day with an enjoyable morning swim and end the evening with a beautiful sunset over the sea. The house houses a living room with a comfortable seating area and a fireplace. Here is also the dining table which has room for many. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (140 cm wide) and in the other there is a single bed with an extra bed (2x80 cm) that you can pull out. The kitchen is a walk-through kitchen, and the bathroom contains a combustion toilet and a shower. In the modern newly built guest house, which is right next door, you can sleep well in the double bed (140 cm wide), and you can also sleep on the sofa according to the owner. Enjoy delicious barbecue dinners and look out over the sea either from the terrace of the house or the guest house. Below the house is the community's common jetty and there is also a small sandy beach here. You can feel private both around the house and down by the beach as there are usually few visitors there. The community also has a trampoline and football goal in a meadow right next door. There are nice walking paths nearby and feel free to visit the lighthouse. In Köpmanholm, where the ferry docks, you can shop for essentials or enjoy a light meal and sometimes there is also musical entertainment. A holiday at Yxlan offers wonderful swimming and lots to explore. Feel free to also go over to the neighboring island of Blidö (a few minutes' journey). On Blidö there is everything from a shop, bakery, church, health center and farms. Here you can play mini golf and go to flea markets. Just outside Blidö is Norröra, where the Swedish TV series “Vi på Saltkråkan” was filmed, one of Astrid Lindgren's famous works. If you want to enjoy a good meal, you can do so at Blidö Brygga and Bistro, which also has entertainment on certain evenings, or why not take the ferry over to Furusund's inn. For those of you who want more pulse and speed, central Stockholm has a lot to offer for big and small interests such as the castle, Skansen or Gröna Lund! Feel free to take the Vaxholmsbolaget's tour boats that run shuttle services to and from Yxlan/Blidö and into Stockholm or to other archipelago destinations.
