3 Bedroom House in Nordmark, Filipstad Municipality
A large and spacious holiday home awaits the guests in the Värmland locality of Stjälpet, about 20 kilometers north of Filipstad in Central Sweden, in the holiday home of the same name.
Consisting of living room with romantic open fire, three bedrooms, kitchen, hall, bathroom as well as cellar with an own sauna, there is enough room for up to 6 persons, to find a restful little place in order to recharge their overworked batteries.
Stjälpet is an old small forest village. You live in almost pristine natural areas only 100 meters away from the Nordmark river with many small and large lakes, a paradise for anglers, mushroom and berry pickers, hikers and canoeists.
In the Swedish winter you can even go cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, ice fishing, or do dogsled rides.
There is also a lighted cross-country ski trails in Lesjöfors.
In the area are:
Elk and Beaver Safari (booked through the tourist office in Hagfors), the Trollstigen, which is about 3 km long (in Lesjöfors) and a great experience for the kids, with lots of colorful wooden figures from myths and legends. There is also a post box for Santa. On a disused railway track nearby you can ride a draisine, and in Ekshärad there is a moose and alpaka park to visit. In Marbacka you can visit Selma Lagerlöf's birthplace, a former mansion. We also recommend a visit to the former mountain plant Långban.
4 km outside Sunnemo is a husky farm where you can also book a husky rides. Information brochures are in the house.
