You live near Stor-Hjälmaren's northern shore with walking distance down to the lake. There are two nice bathing areas. On the headland is the bathing mountain. A short distance away, you can swim in the small bathing mountain, which is more child friendly. There is also a smaller harbor if you want to watch boats. In Grythem/Västeråsen there are boule courts, a soccer field with a playground. A nice midsummer celebration is organized there. Take a trip to Örebro and visit the beautiful castle. In central Örebro by Svartån's beach is Wadköping with its fine wooden houses, museums, cafes, stalls, bakeries etc. Örebro Art Gallery is worth a visit. The water tower Svampen is a popular excursion destination. A little outside Örebro is the Karlslund Cultural Reserve with a scenic area with ancient origins. There is also a children's garden where you can try walking on stilts, sow seeds in pots and other fun. If you want to shop, there is Marieberg shopping center with lots of shops.
