Here you are close to the beautiful nature and only a few minutes down to the lake. You can visit Skottvångsgruvan. A historic ore mine that was founded in the 17th century. There is a local farmer nearby where you can get fresh meat and organic vegetables for a delicious barbecue evening on the terrace. Just 15 minutes away by car is the beautiful summer town of Mariefred, a real Swedish idyll. Here you can take a steamboat out into the famous Mälaren. You can also ride a cozy steam train that takes you around southern Sweden. Or maybe just walk around and eat a good ice cream. Many festivals and markets take place in Sörmland in the summers.
