Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The history and personal style of the interior. The kind owner. The drinks and sweets she left us upon arrival.
Negative: The smell of the water - on the tap and in the shower - is awfull… The serre/conservatory - next to the living room - turned out to be not private. The owner uses it as well. And the outdoor seating is next to the part of the house where the owner stays. And besides not private remained all the time heavenly wrapped in a tarpaulin. So although is was high summer no possibility really to sit outside. And way less privacy than ecpected according to the description. The garbage needed to be separated in lots of different small paper bags. Which were placed on the small floor of the kitchen. So almost no possibility to walk/stand/cook there. And in the 5 days couldn’t be taken away cause no bins outside. So the smell in the kitchen was - on top of the awfull brown, smelt tapwater - awfull. And maggots appeared… So very unhygienic as well… Specially in a kitchen not so nice… But not daring to take a shower was the biggest minus.
Summary: A very nice owner, special decoration, but lacks privacy and hygiëne qua brown/nasty smelling water and quite imposs
