In the bright living room you can warm up in front of the fireplace after a day of skiing at Kläppen which is only 10 minutes from the cottage. Kläppen offers different levels of difficulty of skiing with its 37 different slopes and 40 km long cross-country trails. For an even larger selection, you can go 30 minutes north to Sälen where you can test the slopes in Lindvallen or maybe Tandådalen! The cottage also perfectly located close to the starting point to the Vasaloppet start in Berga which is only about 25 minutes away.
If you have an interest in fishing, there is plenty of pike, perch and pikeperch in lakes and rivers not far from the house. The use of fishing license is mandatory and can be purchased for about SEK 300. A rowing boat is available during certain periods of the season in Tandsjön which is about 35 minutes from the accommodation.
There are also many hiking trails in the beautiful landscape and there are plenty of mushrooms and berries to pick up during the trip. Take the opportunity to visit the nature reserve Tandövala and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of Tandövala.
For a little more speed, there are also several trails for mountain biking or if you prefer to travel by water, you can rent a canoe and take a ride on the Dalälven.
